Who We Are

Picture
Neighbors United is a collaborative initiative to help refugees successfully integrate and thrive in the Treasure Valley. We are made up of more than a hundred community leaders, policy makers, service agency representatives, resettled refugees, volunteers, educators and more. Our primary mission is to identify and improve resources for refugee resettlement.

Strategic Community Plans:
  • 2023-2025
  • 2019
  • 2018

Since 2009, our program has addressed refugees’ needs and resources related to six pillars:
  1. Transportation
  2. Education (Adult Education Road Map and K-12)
  3. Housing
  4. Employment
  5. Healthcare
  6. Social Integration

We believe that what makes us American is not just about what we look like or where we were born—it’s about how we live our lives and what we do that defines us. The refugees who come to the United States embody American values. They have defied the odds to leave behind discrimination, persecution and even violence. They’re here to work hard and make a difference. And we’re here to help them.
