Refugee arrivals to the U.S. have been halted by an executive order, and the federal government has canceled contracts with resettlement agencies that fund welcoming services. Our support for resettlement partners is more important than ever. Here are ways you can pitch in:

Donate to Idaho resettlement agencies to help cover welcome services including rent, toiletries, household necessities, and other basic needs:
  • Agency for New Americans - Resettlement agency in Boise
    • Welcomed 102 refugees this fiscal year before the pause.
    • Besides financial donations, needs include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, dish soap, sponges, laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, menstrual pads, diapers, baby wipes, and toilet paper.
  • International Rescue Committee in Boise - Resettlement agency in Boise
    • Welcomed 93 refugees this fiscal year before the pause.
  • USCRI - Resettlement agency in Twin Falls
    • Welcomed 141 refugees this fiscal year before the pause.
    • Fundraiser: Housing for Twin Falls Refugees

Other resettlement partners:
  • Idaho Office for Refugees
    • Statewide administrator of Idaho's refugee program.
    • Oversees Refugee Cash Assistance Program.
    • Operates Global Gardens, Global Talent, English Language Center, Refugee Speakers Bureau, and the Afghan Cultural Center.
  • Glocal Community Partners Family Assistance Fund
    • This fund will directly support the basic needs of new neighbors in the Treasure Valley who arrived through refugee resettlement.
  • Ukrainian Welcome Center
    • Community resettlement partner in Nampa offering language and employment services to those displaced by the war.
